when i bought the 4 door it strated up just fine and kept an idle. it just had a hella loud knocking sound and the check oil light was on. so we towed it to a friends house and pulled the d15b2 yesterday. this is what i saw:
i have never seen a hole like that and it still runs. apparently it threw a rod and the piston is up in there stuck. as Habib said "that piston decided to have a party while the other 3 worked".
the plan is to drop the a6 in on sun. i'm looking forward to actually be able to drive the 4 door
i'm actually really happy about the whole swap. the 2 of us had the d15 out in an hr :jump:
