i've never raced mine at the track, but i had that same problem when i first got the spec v. and still do to an extent. i had a civic before this car, so to race i'd just rev at like 4 grand and drop the clutch. that was perfect, but on a spec you have to rev maybe at like 2 grand and slip the clutch. then once the car gets to about 30 or 35 let the clutch out completely, its kinda hard to explane, he'd really have to mess with it. but man does that car pull your head back when you don't spin the tires.
