I don’t think marketing is going to be a religion. Even using the part of the definition that accounts as "A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion." I see it being practiced by the advertisers and the rest of us subjugated to us. Kind of like the Jehovah Witnesses.
