papadakis runs a fwd 2.2 liter turbo 4 cyl. 8 seconds or so. fastest fwd car. (FRONT WHEEL DRIVE, NOT RWD LIKE AN RX 7)
also. find a 6sec or lower car that isn't a tube chassis.
and no, just b/c the factory floor pan is there under a jungle gym, it doesn't count. 20point cages fall under tube chassis to me.
back to the point. you can run extremely high boost on stock internals as long as you have a proper fueling system.
and why couldn't a turbo b16 si running 24 lbs (this is all claimed of course) outrun a cobra?
my memory serves to bring out the crx vs viper vid, where the viper got schooled. or go to the street racing forum and see a turbo dodge k car beat a supra w/ a 10.5 sec 1/4 time.
even if the story is fake, why is it hard to believe that the civic could win?
