Drove and bought a 2001 S!
I agree with your comment; however, I was used to driving the '96 328is (smaller car) and wanted more room with a sporty drive. Nearly everything I test drove handled sloppy in cornering- comparably. The Millennia S can be described as a luxo-cruiser in town to about 55 and a lion at 60 and above if you work that racing hold button. Many people confuse that button as a on/off switch for tranny overdrive like in many other vehicles but it is not that at all. It actually holds the shifting in the lowest or next lowest gear (switch it on in 1st at a stoplight and you will see what I mean) - the car will not shift. This is quite advantageous with a supercharger. The Millennia S is an unknown screamer that in '95 was so far ahead of Lexus and Infiniti that they are just now, in their new 2001-2002 models are catching up to Mazda.
