Accords are not the easiest to lowr due to the A-arm location which causes freuquent rubbing issues, without the proper camber kit. So lowering is a whole different situation.

As far as rims go, 17"s are big and heavy, unless you spend over 2k.
You will notice a notcable difference in acceleration (slower) with 17"s.
Although the overall grip of and performance of a 17 tire is acceptional.

I really suggest a smaller rim and it will open the door to cheaper tires.
