Yup, cars DO get better gas milage :-)

The family kept the truck and the tent trailer connected to to it while they stayed on the beach in Santa Barbara for an extra week...

I rented a Oldmibile Alero from Santa Barbara for the trip home to SF.

Yeah sure it was a rocket :-)

But it felt like my balls were scraping the pavement all the way home and I could not see very well out of it because I am a tall person and I felt like I was driving a fish bowl (low, untinted windows)

The 11 gallons of gas it took to make the ~320 mile trip was a surprise
considering the velocity it was travelling at...

The bottom line though is that I'm a truck guy.

I'd have traded that puppy back without a single thought if I could have driven the truck home.

Sure it goes fast, handles great, gets good gas milage, but I felt like a 'victem' the whole trip.

My truck has everything I need for most any situation...the car was...well a car.
