Re: How to Troubleshoot a No Start XJ

My friend owns an '89 cherokee laredo that has been fitted with a '92 HO. There seems to be a drain on the electrical system. The battery went dead the other day and he had it towed to the shop. They tested the battery which was bad and was replaced. A day later the new battery was dead as well. According to the engine diagnostic, nothing was wrong with the engine. I asked the shop owner if he was aware of any electrical gremlins(other than the crankshaft positioning sensor, which we recently replaced) and he wouldn't oblige me. My friend thinks it may be the alternator. Do you have any suggestions.
