The blower resistor is a common issue that causes the loss of low speeds. It is located in the heater box under the dash next to the blower motor itself. Another issue is water intrusion from a bad cowl seal under the hood on the passenger side. Water gets in the heater box and shorts out the resistor. If there is water, the resistor will still need to be changed, but this is a case of treating the disease (the water intrusion) rather than the symptom (shorted resistor).
With your other issues (HUD and DRL's), you could be experiencing the first symptoms of a bad ignition harness assembly. The contacts start to arch and will cause many electrical gremlins to crop up.
Finally, the HUD could be a bad solder point in the HUD circuit board, and there is a thread in the "tips and maintenance" sub-forum at the top of this forum.

What does the resistor usally cost?? Can I get the ignition harness assembly and a local auto parts store or do I have to go to a dealer?
