Unballanced drive train
Hello Folks,
I have a vibration in the drive train on my 2000 Explorer from about 30 mph thru top speed. I have replaced the Insulator, a rubber and steel mounting bracket that mounts to the cross frame and to the transmission this helped reduce the vibration but didn't resolve my problem. I have looked at the u-joints and they are not loosing any grease and are not wobbleing sp?
The problem started a couple weeks ago when I put my boat on 4" blocks for storing for winter, I backed up to the blocks and shifted to 4 wheel low and did sort of a brake stand to get the boat to jump up onto the blocks in reverse. Could I have twisted the drive shaft when i put the boat on blocks?
I have one other question, Does the front drive shaft for the 4 wheel drive rotate when it is not engaged? During normal driving?
Thanks for any help with this issue.
Good Luck,
Dave
