I looked yesterday in the parking lot. Several difficulties....

Bad eyes w/o reading glasses.

Lot of dirt and debris on them.

T30 fits, but I have Allen Head Bits also.

They are coming off one way or the other.....

Just concerned they'll stick - Liquid Wrench.

Once off, what is under the cover - any springs that will go flying!?

Is this just a large helical screw type thing underneath that causes a ring gear to move
in and out when the lock tab is rotated ?

If so, probably lots of dirt and corrosion.

As usual, things will need cleaning and lubricating.

Most things slip and slide much better with a little lubrication....

PS - It sure would be nice if the Tracker was made to go from FRONT WHEEL DRIVE
(where most of the weight is) to 4WD instead of RWD to 4WD....
