Here's what I figured out on the VW brakes. You dont really need the tool. What you need is a "C" clamp and a larger set of pliers or vise grips. Also a second set of hands is nice but not absolutely necessary. So here's what you do.... Just take your "C" clamp and set it uo to compress the piston just like you would on a normal brake job. Dont put a lot of pressure on the piston just barely tighten the clamp, then take your pliers and rotate the end of the piston clockwise. The piston will go in a little bit...tighten the clamp down again and turn the piston...continue till the piston is all the way compressed. You will be suprised how easy it is to get the hang of it. Like I said a second set of hands helps alot. If all else fails go to Autozone, they will loan you the part for free.
