When I did my 2001 drivers side window motor I think I used a 1/2 inch drill bit to drill the two access holes. The metal door panel has punch dimples already in it at the two places you have to drill.
Step #1. Make sure you support the window in the up position with tape. Otherwise when you take out the motor the window will fall down.
