Well, if you want a real nice brand then go with Phillips because they make some of the best products out there for lighting (as depicted by their high $$). As stated by me in a different post, I have an ebay special HID kit (12000K) and have had absolutely no problems (the ballasts are a little loud, but I found some ways to manage that). Not sure if the guy I bought mine from still sells, but they were straight up from Japan (so you know they are good..lol). I think I paid like 180 plus shipping for mine, and like I said, no problems at all with over a year and a half of using them. If you buy an off brand they will probably not emit the light color/temp that they say they will (they will probably not be truly 12000K...mine look a little more like 10000K, but hey who the fuck cares). And in the long run a real name brand might last a little longer. It's all up to you, just make sure you get a kit that has the ballast and igniter all in one, I have heard people have problems with the kits that have a separate igniter and ballast.
