Just install a dipstick on your gas cap
lol ...I know it is an expensive fix in a 2004 GMC sierra..but obviously this isnt a GMC sierra. I beleive the access to the sending unit on the tank is either at the back of the trunk or under the rear seats. Not alot of room to workwhen all the seats are ripped out but I personally couldnt stand to have a non-functioning gas guage. Just because i am so damn cheap and my low fuel light is pretty much always lit..lol. to me, "E" means fill up on tuesday! I know i would run out of gas if mine didnt work.
