Thanks for the reply, though I think the idle is set correctly, but the actual idle cannot be attained due to a gummed up control valve.
The only way I can verify this is by removing it, and cleaning it. Therein lies the problem. If someone knows that a run-of-the-mill 10 mm wrench is all that is needed, then it's back under the hood.
However, if I need to fabricate/bend a wrench in order to gain access and remove the bolt, that info is well received.
Has anyone actually done this job on an '01 Altima?
