Hi, we changed the transmission fluid and filter about 700 miles ago. This is the first change we did because we just didn't have a clue to do so, before checking online when trouble began. sorry, please don't fall over from grief!

We have no clue how to check the bands, leave alone adjust them. My husband has a seizure disorder and therefore we have limited abilities in this area. There was some whining in the front engine area, but not now. The transmission level is fine, previously high. OOPS! we took some out to proper level. The fluid itself was dark but not burnt smelling, not sure what type was used before, so tried the computer reset (battery off over 24 hours), because it didn't want to work. I tested the transmission tonight (44 degrees and wet outside), didn't warm it up because need gas, and it went in reverse (sluggish, but went) and also drove it about 1/2 mile at about 15 miles an hour. I know you are all out there thinking (IDIOT!) and I don't blame you. We are able to do some basic things on cars but am also challenged in some areas (transmission). If you have suggestions, we will do our best to attempt them. Again, thanks for the assistance!
