Re: wipers stop in upright position

A common problem with the wipers stopping straight up not at the park position is a metal tab at the wiper motor assembly that gets bent out of shape due to the weight of the snow. Acts as part of a wiper park sensor. It should be a 90 degree or square form. You'll have to remove the wipers and the plastic trim to get at it.
