Hello Ramheads,
I hate to admit this, but I am uncertain as to the correct procedure for checking the transmission fluid. The dipstick on my van has both a COLD and HOT. I am assuming that when the transmission case is cold, that the fluid level will be at COLD. I am also assuming that when the engine has reached its operating level that the fluid will read HOT. This morning when I check the level (engine was cold), the fluid read up to the HOT. These does not seem right. Someone please mentor me.
Thank You.
