Tell me it isn't so! I've had a few Jeeps from the '47 CJ-2 to the '57 CJ-7 but I gave up on the new Jeeps when they got bought by AMC and later Chrysler. You'd be better off buying an old Willy's rust bucket and building it back up than driving a Chrysler. Probably cost less too.

Ok Eric, I'll 'fess up...we were looking for a replacement for the '97 Bravada and was looking at a '98. It had a junk transfercase that they wouldn't make me a swinging deal on so we looked at some other vehicles. I walked past the Liberty, looking at a coupla Rainiers, a Trailblazer and a Dodge SUV(I can't recall the name right now). After basically "striking out", I looked for my load leveler and she was still standing next to the Liberty

, so I asked if she was ready to leave and she said she liked the Liberty. Well long story short and 31 years of marriage...she got her Liberty. At least it has a real mechanical AWD and no vacuum lines...like an early Bravada.
