first the cam shaft position sensor reeding can be repaired with a simplew re&1 of the distibutor and grind the mounting bolt hole so that u can adjust the cam sync. most scan tools will show you a cam retard value you want it to be as close to zero as possible. the computer will only update the value if you rev it to above 2000 rpm. after adjustment. so it takes a couple of minutes bnut ussually thee cam sync will only cause a problem after 7 degrees plus or minus. as well i have come across a couple of blazers and jimmys with older 4.3 were the wiring harness behind thye right engine lifting point wears through the wiring harness ussually causes oil pressure gauge issues but might be you're eproblem but good luck Robnoxiousauto.
