The truck started fine at 5am and at 2pm it wouldn't start. It turns over but won't start. Then the temp seemed to drop a little as if rain were coming. Hi, what i recommend you is to verify the starter, i had a similar issue like that with a Explorer 91. sometimes stared well and some times no and it's looks that the temperature outside.
