I have a set of Monroe Gas-Magnums on my '98 Sierra short-bed; according to the Monroe website they are designed for full-size P/U's and SUV's. I like the ride control; stable and well-damped motion....plus they are still made right here in the good ol' US of A (Gabriels by the way are now made in Mexico). I don't kid myself into thinking my truck is gonna ride like a car so an ultra smooth ride is not a goal for me.
