Talking MOD Chips - What are you thoughts?

Morning/afternoon/evening everyone!!

I was wondering what everyone thinks about those Mod chips that you see on eBay. They promise to work wonders for only a small price.

I'm dubious.

Real? Or bull****???

Example below:

INCREASE YOUR BHP BY AN EXTRA 25+

This small Mod chip will allow you to boost the power of your cars engine, Nothing else will be effected giving the car a 100% benefit. It’s a small electronic resistor that is of the precise resistance to provide 25 BHP+ more to the vehicle. It is inserted between your Vehicles air intake sensor to compromise for the ECU. The effects will be noticed instantaneously. It is extremely easy to fit, and will only was a few minutes of your time. All this can be purchased for an incredible price of £3.99

NB: This will not work on diesels or turbo charged cars

This is how it works:

You may have heard of other superchips. For example, Bluefin. What they do is connect to the electronics inside the car, and boost the car from its original settings to a more powerful “hyper” response. However, this can result in a loss in fuel consumption, more so, than our product. These superchips tend to have a good result but can cost from anywhere between £300 and £1000. For our little price, you can achieve the same performance and ultimately, better petrol consumption, making our chip more superior than a superchip. These superchips can be very hard to fit and can require a lot of time, as oppose to the easy five minute fit of our chips.

The way our chip works is that the car is told that it’s always cold, thus, making the settings boost and perform better. It can also tell the car to convert to its top performance settings from its original factory settings but NOT compromise fuel consumption.

This mod will work with all petrol vehicles equipped with electronic fuel injection. Most of the recent cars will be suited for this.
Taking the Renault Clio 1.2, for example, it has 75 BHP, together with this chip, it can be boosted to 100+ BHP. So, if calculations are correct, the 0-60 time can be boosted from the original, 13.4 seconds, to around 10 seconds. Thats an amazing 3 seconds off!!!
