yea, knock on that wood bro lol
I've figured... if I start saving now for a new car to put around 5k down on, plus trade in value of my GA... it'll take me 4-5 months with my current income
basically next spring, this is gonna be tough....
after considering ALL of my decisions/options of what I COULD get and what I want lol

...... I have optioned the VW GTI MKv... its decent for the price, already stock turbo... 6spd or dsg automatic with triptronic (auto trans is sick on shifting...) but Ill prob get the 6spd as goes for costs...
I was thinking of plans already for one.... get one basically stock, stock cloth interior, 6spd, stock radio, no sunroof, stock rims .. either white or black...
EVENTUALLY, take all the cloth seats out, only replace the front 2 with the optional leather seats from the dealer... get custom interior done in the rear, not sure what.. Id have to look at it... then do rims and engine performance... I could care less about the interior really, as long as I have at least leather in the front lol, dont need a rear seat on a coupe anyways
Apparently they have a ecu write that adds a whopping 52HP over stock, basically tunes the turbo.. costs a pretty penny... like $600 :o
and basica stuff like full turbo-back 3" exhaust with high-flow cat available... umm injen intake, my preffered import intake brand

... expensive turbo swaps already..... but hopefully by then they'll have some engine/tranny build... some of the GTIs are already close on 330HP with beta programming and engine parts....
with the already lightweight, they're pretty quick =o
Edit: lol according to my forza2 game

the GTI can be swapped out with the 3.6L from a passat or the 2003 R32 engine AWD
I didnt know wtf the 3.6L v6 was so I looked it up, apparently it can either be FWD or AWD optional on the passat I believe.... and has a pretty impressive 280HP stock

I like how the swap is available... if it is in real live... the 6spd auto passat with the 3.6l.. I HOPE, will match up with a 6spd manual stick shift...
