If you can borrow a fuel pressure gauge you can check it yourself. Some parts houses have a loan a tool program. There is a schraeder valve on the fuel rail that the gauge screws into to read the pressures. It should be about 40-42 psi with key on and engine not running. With the engine running it should drop about 10 psi to 30-32. Reeker may be right also. If the module does not trigger the coil properly it can cause unburnt fuel to enter the exhaust and cause problem You may also want to look at the MAP sensor.
