Experiencing exactly the same symtoms. Also, had clicking sound when trying to start, like a dead battery, but would then start right up after a few tries like nothing was wrong. Computer still out though (only getting fuzzy lines on bottom of screen).
Checked for damaged wires behind left front wheel well, but they were fine. Put in battery from my 4runner, and car starts properly now, radio seems to now be working normally (sound only) but still having computer problem. Could low voltage/weak battery have damaged my nav or computer?
