Dont know if its impolite to respond to a direct question and if so my apologies.
Hey Town Car. If the one in the garage is the rightsize use it. If it is 120 volts A.C. and draws 7 amps you can pick up a decent power inverter that hard wires to battery. I have a 1200 watt that I paid 120 bucks for.
Runs what a 10 amp curcuit would run in the house.
Refrigerator and freezer with some lights if you loose power for a couple of days.
Beats a loud generator out back.
