""Jeep Cherokee = 4.0 I6 = very, very slow... high 17's maybe mid on a good day...""

this is complet crap and im ticked about it... i have multiple time slips to prove other wise.. i have an 89 jeep cherokee 2wd 5spd with the 4.0L I6 and the worst time i ran on the quater with a bad RT of .887 was still 15.037 at 84.7mph. and that is being with 137000 miles one shot fuel injector and shitty tires. my best on a set of M/T street slicks and all tuned up (still stock) was an R/T of .008 and a 1/4mile time of 14.768 at 89.72mph.

now all that aside i think this beater jeep deserves some damn credit for being able to pull off times that vehicles off the showroom floor to date with larger motors better trans and smaller empty weight values cant even come within 1.50 seconds 1/4 mile time if they tried and are nearly 20n year newer.

ta hell with your astro beating jeep non believrs.

how did you, with "shitty tires and one shot fuel injector" run .3 slower then you did all tuned up and with slicks? what was your 60 foot when you are running a 15 flat at 84

what vehicles are you referencing when you say they have larger motors blah blah blah and are slower? the srt version which runs a low 13?

here is an 87 jeep running a 17 http://www.dragtimes.com/Jeep-Cherok...slip-6679.html

here is an 89 running a 16.7 http://www.dragtimes.com/Jeep-Cherok...slip-8543.html

RT's dont affect your time unless you are bracket racing.

you have an 89 jeep cherokee, not a ferrari.
