I think you need to paint the front bumper before gluing it. It has a "lip" that hooks over the bottom. I don't really know how to describe it. I'll try to get pics after work today.

I thought that was the case at first, but then I went to
the official mini site and they have a little 3d thing where you can customize your mini. There is one color scheme where the roof is the body color and the side mirrors are just black. I like that better than having the white roof and the white/black side mirrors. I figure that since that comes from the official Mini site that that color scheme is available on real minis.
