Check the BTSI fuse again. 12 volts from the fuse feeds to the stop lamp switch and then to the shift interlock solenoid in the center console and the transmission range switch. To blow the fuse you are getting higher than normal current in the circuits indicating a short circuit condition. Have you ever spilled soda or coffee on the center console?
