if u plan to to do a fit again u could mold it and safe it (duckbill) so u will have the the right shape for your next time
just a tip when i did my duckbill i drew it on a card stock 1st then I did what u and him did and with the card stock i use it to measure how much i needed to sand from each side as long as u keep it even u be ok just remenber to mark the middle of the cardstock-duckbill before u cut it out i used the negative side of the cut out i hope that heps some.......if u need me to explain it a little bit better just let me know
