i second checking the Saturnfans forum.

i don't think reusing fuel lines that have been cut is a good idea.

to confirm, the 97 does use a return line and 98 and up is returnless. the return style has a feed, return, and evap lines. returnless uses just a feed and evap line. the returnless may also have the evap canister next to the fuel tank, i can't remember, but it shouldn't be hard to make the in-fender canister work. i suggest geting the proper lines from a junkyard or dealership instead of modifying the worng ones.

do not plug the evap lines, it is an emission control system and there is a risk of an unsafe build-up of fuel vapors.

DRL is Daytime Running Lights, its what turns your highbeams on dimmy when your lights are turned off. for now ignore it or remove it. the only side effect of it being remove is you will lose one of your high beams.
