Welcome to the site!

You should first make sure she's running nice and healthy, so depending on mileage, do your 60k or 120k maintenance if needed (you can do a simple search to find what you need to replace). You should find someone with experience with our cars around your area to help you out, DONT EVER GO TO THE DEALERSHIP! Check over on 3si.org for people around you as well as on here.

Not sure how much money you have to spend, but after she's running perfect, a couple common upgrades are an aftermarket boost gauge(stock is crap), and a datalogger(to monitor everthing), but it really depends on how much money you're willing to spend and how fast you want to be.

As for looks, lightweight rims, coilovers, 99 conversion, and HIDs are some possible options.

Again, it all depends on $$ and your goals, so update and you will get a lot more help.
