Not only that, but you can simply swap the part of the handle that breaks from one side of your own car to the other and avoid a trip to the wrecking yard.

Geo door handles (the part you pull on) are symmetrical. Take the handle out of
the assembly and you will see that that this is true.
Either side can be used to fix either side. The designer was intelligent - only need
a hot metal mold for one handle - use it for both sides!
So all those passenger door handle left at the junk yard because someone's
driver's side broke are yours for the picking!
