When you jump the A&B connectors you watch the check engine light to flash. The first series of flashes (they go in a series of 3 for each stored code)will be a "12". That's one flash followed by 2 flashes. That indicates the system is in the diagnostic mode.After the code 12 flashes there will be a pause (5 to 6 seconds ) before any other stored codes are presented.Then the other codes will show ( i.e. a code 25 will be two flashes followed by five flashes.) If there are no other codes present it will flash a code 12 again.

It can be found under the dash in the area under the radio or a little towards the left.

On the issue of the cooler line is it possible to replace the leaking connection with a compression fitting? They tend to handle pressure better than a simple hose clamp if that what is currently there.
