Stuck in Park
I have an AOD in a 91 convertible. It is a 5.0 L engine. My shift selector is stuck in park. Linkages are all connected. Transmission is relatively new with no prior signs of shifting problems during operation. Fluid levels are good. Have not checked the sensor for the brake pedal depression. The selector button feels like it is ok. Spring has tension and it moves slightly. Just can't get it to move all the way into the shifting position. Anyone had this trouble before? I looked at my manual and it looks like the sensor is on the steering column. I'll be checking that tonight.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
