Remove the screw plug that covers the adjustment gear on the back of the caliper. Turn the gear counter clockwise with an allen wrench to retract the piston.

After you put in new pads turn the adjustment gear clockwise with an allen wrench until the pads just touch the disc. Then back off 1/3 turn , then reinstall the screw plug and tighten it.
