The FWD V-6 or V-8 swap (Aurora/Northstar) would likely be a lot easier. 8 seconds is cool and all, but it doesn't take a Beretta. A lot of Novas are doing 7-second runs routinely, no boost, no blower, no Viagra gas. It's called "pro stock" class, and 500-ish Mk IVs are the norm. There's a guy in the 'burbs running a turbo Buick in a Cadillac CTS doing low 11s on pump gas and street legal tires, and only 15 pounds of boost. That would be cool in a Beretta, and probably closer to the 8-second 454s without all the hassle. That setup installed in the lighter car and with the boost up to a more normal 18 pounds should make it interesting.
