Motorized Antennas require lubrication.
A couple of times a year I clean mine with good old WD40 and then put a little white greese on it. the antenna motor works smoothly with the antenna lubbed up and the thing should last forever. It has never skipped a tooth yet, I hope the reason for it is my maintainance and not luck. :-)
