Re: Re: That story is biggest bullshit crap i've ever heard

Hmmm. Lemme "correct" a few things here.
A 32v Cobra with a Blower, boltons and a SKILLED driver is easily an 11 second car. Self, a blower on a 32v motor adds a LOT more then "maybe 70rwhp"...A stock Cobra will put down roughly 250rwhp. Throw a Vortech S-Trim or any comparable blower into the mix and you've got a Cobra making around 400rwhp thats's a LOT more then 70rwhp...

Well, neither is a Civic Si, but the way you talk about it, you make it out to be.

The Civic Si is one of the best platforms to work with and it comes factory with the B16A, which is the 350 of 4 cylinder motors. The engine that the Cobra has is the slave of supercars.
Well, if you want to get TECHNICAL, the mod motor (Cobra Motor) is far from being the "slave" of supercars. In fact, the Cobra isn't even a SUPERCAR....but then again, neither is a Civic Si!

Hell, the Z06 makes a Cobra look like an idiot and the Z06 isn't even that high of a supercar.
What the hell is your definition of a "supercar"? A ZO6? Thats borderline if you ask me. When you say SUPERCAR, I'm thinking Viper ACR, Lamborghini, Porche 959...I dunno about you.

In stock form a Cobra would have trouble beating a Civic Si with stock internals on the Greddy turbo system.
Wait, a STOCK Cobra would have trouble beating a Civic Si with a what? A Greddy Turbo??? LMAO! And a Civic Si with a Greddy Turbo Kit would have trouble beating a Cobra with a turbo kit....You see, it's POINTLESS to even bring up this argument.

Don't diss on Honda buddy, more people have died behind the wheel of highpowered rear-wheel drive American cars, then in front wheel drive Japanese cars.
Speed kills buddy....what else can I tell ya? I thought the emphasis here was on how Civics can be FAST, not how SAFE they are???

If this guy is what they claim he is, then I'd be suprised if that Cobra was within FIFTEEN car lengths of that Si because with the right tuning, a street driven Civic Si with boost and no nitrous oxide can run low 11's, high 10's.
I agree to an extent. Of course a Civic with a turbo can run low 11's. It better have a built shortblock though.

Wanna bet? And if you throw a built shortblock into the mix (just like a Civic would need) you could have a 9 sec. STREETLEGAL car.

Why don't you go drive your CLK to the local starbucks and race your "chaps" with their BMW 328 Ci's and such, the racing world is no place for a tennis playing, lawyer.
How about you drive YOUR Civic Si with whatever you've got under the hood to the DRAGSTRIP, and I'll bring MY car(s) with whatever I've got under the hood and we'll throw down for whatever amount of money you can come up with...?

Just to clearify to everyone, I am in NO WAY ripping on Civics, or any import for that matter. In fact, I recently helped a kid build a '93 Civic EX into a high 12 sec. N/A car. Jap Spec Civic Type R motor, Crower Head with 12:1 compression. AEM CAI, JetHot Coated 4-1 Header, Exhaust, built 5 speed manual trans with race clutch (I forgot which one he bought), carbon fiber hood with clear window (to see motor), yellow paint, body kit, etc etc etc...Another friend of mine also has a high 11 sec. '97 Supra TT. I have nothing against imports at all, but Mr. S2Corolla here thinks the Civic Si is GOD.
