If you want to second guess Subaru about what tire pressure they recommend, please make sure to call them and tell them you are disregarding the vehicle manufacturer recommendations so they can void the appropriate warranty areas.
Now that I have said that, I will also point out that tire pressure is related to vehicle weight, so unless you're an automotive engineer with a specialisation in tires, please follow the recommended vehicle manufacturer pressure.
The Cusco Impreza is raced in the GT300 class in Japan, it is indeed a factory Subaru team. Subaru has teams in touring car classes all over the world as well as rally.
