as for it's purpose...the #1 apparent reason is because it's shiney and looks good. #2 reason is it is a little lighter and is supposed to turn quicker.
i bought it back in Oct but didn't get here in time for when i had the work done on my car. i put it in a box with parts and then forgot i had it. engine "blew" and decided on a swap. when it came time to stick in the y8 i remembered it but couldn't find it. i just dug around in boxes under the stairs in the house and found a bunch of parts. but, that is the story of my life. hehehe...:apoke:
