I like Geos, and would like to take advantage of this one. We have decent welding equipment/skills here. Are there any parts out there that can be purchased and welded onto the frame to fix this? Has anybody done this?

Should I look for a Geo Metro with a blown engine, then put the engine/transmission from this one into it?

Thanks in Advance

If you're gunna try some kind of weld job to fix it up - thats up to you at your own risk. Consider the kind of loss of control you would deal with if that little control arm broke free, and decide if you feel comfortable welding it up. I personally know nothing about welding. There may be some other structurally compromised areas of the car -?-

I would feel more comfortable, myself, going with plan B, and doing a drivetrain transplant. «-- That's all it is.
