My Triumph Dolomite

Hi guys heres some pictures of my Triumph Dolomite. As I guess most of you are wondering what is a Triumph Dolomite I shall give a brief explanation. Triumph were a british car company, went under with the British Leyland group in 1981. The Dolomite started in 1971. Was a mid sized luxury saloon with sporting potential. But with only 91hp from its 1854cc engine it was never going to set the world on fire! In 1973 a 'Sprint' model was released with 127 hp from a 2 ltr 16 valve engine. That gave a 0-60 time of 8.7 seconds and a top speed of 118 mph. In 1973 that was pretty damn hot! In 1976 models such as the 1300cc and 1500cc were brought out. All the models were continued until 1981 when British Leyland went under.

Mine used to be an 1850 model (1854cc 4 cylinder) but was reshelled as a 1500cc... Why, I have no idea! As these models are worth far less and generally more failure prone. I got the car and quickly sorted it out, put a Triumph TR7 engine in it (105hp here in the UK) with its same construction as the 1850 engine, but with bigger carbs and 140 odd cc more displacement, with the 1850 running gear. So it's a 1974 shell with 1981 number plates.
