chirp up front= miss or lope???

when I start it up in the morning there's a chirp up front in the dash or engine bay that seems to be synchronous with a rough idle or drop in tone suddenly.
Almost sounds like a missor a lope. No CEL new plugs wires cap rotor and distributor.
I don't think it does it under load but it's hard to tell , it's real subtle. The tranny clicks in the linkage somewhere under the handle around the same time. The tran click lessens with thetransfer case lever pushed forward or back a bit. Out of ideas.Don't know what piston slap or rod knock sounds like but my buddy's TJ with a third the miles sounds the same to a lesser extent. Maybe that is just the way Jeeps sound, I dunno.Maybe when the engine "misses" the heater fand shimmies, but it's odd how in line all the noises are. Hard to think of them as unrelated. Thoughts?? Not as bad when warm but sill slightly present at idle. Sorry for the long winded thread ya'll lol
