No offense, but you're looking for a definitive answer w/o anyone here having inspected your transmission and its components. You won't know which direction to go w/o inspecting the tranny since you suspect that is the problem. Number of things could have gone wrong, but that doesn't help you unless you've done some initial work so we have a baseline.
How about some info i.e. how many miles since rebuild, have you been maintaining the tranny and fluid, do you tow, and have you had the codes read...etc.
