If its just the housings its not a big deal, you can remove and clean 'em but store the cartridge in a zip-lock bag or something, don't get crud on/in it. After you get the turbo hooked up run the drain line to a bucket and just crank over the engine so dust/dirt will come out and you can tell if theres any obstructions in the turbo. hope this helps

Good idea on letting it just pump through. I just pulled the housing off and cleaned it up with the dremel. Now it looks good.
