What year is your Taurus?

I'm not sure what you are referring to by two pieces of plastic that comprise the fan. Are you just needing to get the fan blade off of the motor shaft? Often times the blade will seize on to the motor shaft and you will need some penetrating oil, a hammer, a punch, someone to hold onto the blade, and quite a bit of patience. You need to be sure when hammering not to mushroom the end of the motor.
