Re: Camshaft Position Sensor '98 3100

For a 3100 VIN "M" engine the CMP sensor is located on the front of the engine block at the top after the timing cover which will be in the area of the camshaft drive spocket. You'll need to remove the serpentine drive belt and power steering pump to access/replace it. There is a single bolt that secures it. Bolt torque is 8 ft-lbs. Inspect and/or replace the o-ring seal if you decide to replace the CMP.
